Maharashtra Smart Ration Card Application Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for apply for Maharashtra smart card is given below:

  • Candidates must not possess any other ration cards, both from Maharashtra and from other Indian states.
  • Citizens must be Maharashtra permanent residents in order to file for a smart ration card.
  • The applicant or any immediate family member must not own a four-wheeler, pay professional tax, GST, or any additional income taxes.
  • Smart ration card applicants must meet the income requirements set forth by the Maharashtra government.
  • The family members of the applicant cannot be a chartered accountant, attorney, doctor, or architect.

Step 1 - Visit the Government of Maharashtra- Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.

Step 2 - On the left-hand side of the page click on 'Download'.

Step 3 - Click on 'Form 1 - application for a new ration card' link.

Step 4 - Get a printout of the form and duly fill it. Make sure all the details mentioned by you are correct.

Step 5 - Attach all the necessary documents and submit it to the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department. You will also have to affix Rs.2 stamp during the submission of your form.
