Khadya Sathi Scheme West Bengal

The Khadya Sathi scheme was launched by the West Bengal government on 27 January 2016 with the aim to provide subsidised wheat and rice to those in need. This program was launched to ensure food security for the economically weaker sections (EWS) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, covering approximately 90% of the state's population.

Eligibility Criteria to Avail Khadya Sathi Scheme

The following are the eligibility criteria for the applicants and their family members to avail Khadya Sathi scheme:

  2. Must have a valid ration card
  3. Applicant must not be a government job holder

Note: In case the ration card has expired, applicants can avail Khadya Sathi scheme after renewal of their ration card.

Step 2 - Click on ‘E-Citizen’ option on the official page.

Step 3 - Click on ‘Digital ration Card’ option, on the next page.

Step 4 - Select the district name and municipality.

Step 5 - Enter all the other required details as mentioned on the page.

Step 6 - Upload the scanned copy of required documents.

Step 7 - Click on ‘Submit’ to apply.

How to Check the Application Status of Khadya Sathi Scheme?

  • What are the documents required for Khadya Sathi Form 9?

    Photocopies of the ration card, Aadhar card copies for every member above five, and birth certificate copies for those under five are needed for Khadya Sathi Form 9.

  • What does PHH mean?

    PHH, or Priority Household, is the term used to refer to all individuals who fall within the category of economically weaker persons. Members of the PHH category are not eligible to serve as regular employees of the Army, State Government, Federal Government, or any other public sector organisation.

  • How can I apply online in West Bengal for a Khadya Sathi card?

    The Department of Food & Supplies Portal offers the West Bengal Khadya Sathi Scheme's online application form. Select the Beneficiary Tab of Khadya Sathi. Select "New Applicant" and provide your mobile number. After that, the portal will use an OTP to verify the mobile number.

  • How much is the monthly entitlement for AAY cardholders?

    As an AAY cardholder, your family is entitled to 21 kg of rice and 13.3 kg of fortified atta per month. However, if wheat is distributed in your area instead of atta, you will receive 14 kg of wheat instead of atta.

  • How much is the monthly entitlement for PHH/SPHH cardholders?

    You are entitled to 3 kg of rice and 1.9 kg of fortified atta per month. Do note that if wheat is distributed in your area instead of atta, you will receive 2 kg of wheat in place of the atta.

  • How can the beneficiary get monthly entitled ration?

    The beneficiary can visit the Fair Price Shop (FPS) or can complete the transaction using ePOS by authenticating with your Aadhaar biometric or OTP. 

  • I forgot to collect my foodgrains last month. Can I collect them this month

    No, you can only collect the foodgrains allotted for the current month. Previous month’s entitlement cannot be carried forward.
