The tenure can be extended up to 30 years in the case of floating rate loans and 20 years in the case of fixed rate loans. The processing fee applicable for Axis bank home loan  can be up to 1% of the loan amount or Rs.10,000, whichever is higher

  • What type of interest rates does Axis Bank offer?

    The bank offers both fixed and floating rate loans. In case of floating rate loans, the interest rate will change with a change in the bank's MCLR (Marginal Cost of Funds-based Lending Rate). The rate remains fixed throughout the tenure in case of fixed rate loans.

  • Can I pay a higher principal loan amount at the beginning of the loan tenure?

    If you sign up for the QuikPay scheme, you can pay a higher principal amount so as to reduce the burden of interest.

  • Can I transfer the outstanding loan from another bank to Axis Bank?

    Yes, some of the home financing schemes offer balance transfer facility. You can transfer the outstanding amount to Axis and pay off the loan at lower rates.

  • Are all the schemes available for salaried individuals?

    All the schemes excluding the Empower Home Loan are available for salaried individuals. The Empower scheme is only for self-employed professionals and non-professionals.

  • How much interest subsidy will I get under the PMAY scheme?

    If you belong to households having income up to Rs.9 lakh, then you would be eligible for a subsidy at 4.0 % on first Rs.8 lakh for a tenure up to 12 years for a loan value up to Rs.25 lakh for property value up to Rs.35 lakh.

  • How can I get my EMIs waived off?

    Axis bank offers a few schemes, such as Fast Forward Home Loan like Asha and Shubh Aarambh where you can get 12 EMIs waived off, provided you have a good repayment history.

  • What's the minimum amount that I can borrow?

    The minimum amount you can borrow is Rs.1 lakh.

  • Can I add a co-applicant to get the loan?

    Yes, you can apply jointly with a co-applicant.

  • Can I change my fixed rate loan to floating rate or vice versa?

    Yes, you can switch from a floating rate loan to a fixed rate loan. However, you have to pay certain additional charges for that.
