FASTag began in 2014 between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, expanded nationwide, and became mandatory for all four-wheelers by 2021, with nearly all toll booths accepting it. NHAI launched the FASTag Partner and MyFASTag apps to make buying and recharging FASTags quick and easy.
MyFASTag is a mobile application which can be downloaded from the Google Play store (Android) or App Store (iOS). It is basically a consumer app which will allow them to purchase FASTags while also letting them recharge their FASTag accounts. Transactions on FASTag can also be tracked by the MyFASTag app. Consumers can also get their grievances addressed through the app.

ETC is the Electronic Toll Collection that implements vehicle-to-roadside communication technologies for electronic payment of highway tolls without human involvement between a vehicle and the toll collection agency.
FASTag Partner is a mobile application that is meant for merchants that sell FASTags. Vehicle dealers, banking partners, and agencies such as Common Services Centre can sell and enroll FASTag by using FASTag Partner. The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags which came with about 74 lakh vehicles in India can also be activated using the FASTag Partner app.

To download the MyFASTag and FASTag Partner, you can follow the below-given steps:

Step 2: Fill the required details like Vehicle ID, RFID Number, etc.
Step 3: Click on 'Activate'.
Follow the steps mentioned below to recharge FASTag through MyFASTag app:
Step 1: Login on the MyFASTag app.
Step 2: Select the bank specific FASTag.
Step 3: Recharge via UPI.
Step 4: Select the Bank name.
Step 5: Enter the Vehicle Number.
Step 6: Validate the VPA and proceed with the payment on UPI.
