How to Check TAN Card Application Status

A Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number (TAN) is required for all individuals and organisations that deduct or collect tax at source in India. After submitting a TAN application online through the Protean portal or offline, the next important step is to track its progress.

Checking the status of the TAN application helps you to confirm whether your details have been verified, if any corrections are needed, or when your TAN will be issued.
