J&K PO Exam

In Jammu and Kashmir, J&K Bank serves as a universal bank, whereas in the rest of the country, it serves as a specialised bank. The bank is the only private sector bank approved by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as a banking business agent. J&K Bank also collects central taxes for the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

Eligibility:

In order to apply for the J&K Bank PO exam, you must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  1. You must be between 20 and 30 years of age (Relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories)
  2. Should have scored 60% marks or above in graduation and post-graduation exams
  3. Graduation results should be declared before you register online for the exam
  4. The degree should be from a recognised university or institute. (UGC/AICTE)
  5. You should have domicile certificate of J&K 

Age relaxation for the J&K Bank PO exam: 

The minimum required age to apply for the exam is 20 years. However, you can get relaxation as below mentioned in upper age limit:

Admit Card for JKPSC 2021 Released (PO, AE, DSO, and ARO Exam)

The Admit Card for JKPSC 2021 has now been uploaded by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). The admit cards are for the posts of Prosecution Officer (PO), Deputy Research Officer (DSO), Assistant Engineer (AE), and Assistant Research Officer (ARO). All candidates who are appearing in the preliminary written exam which will be held on 25 August 2021 can now download JKPSC Admit Card from the official website.

PO Mains exam conducted by J&K Bank

J&K Bank conducted the online Mains examination for the post of Probationary Officers (PO) at various centers across the union territory and other parts of the country. As per the statement released by the bank, around 3500 candidates appeared in the exam. The exam was conducted smoothly with adequate arrangements being made particularly in view of the mid-winter cold conditions prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir. The examination process was conducted by IBPS, Mumbai. It must be noted here that the bank had advertised for 350 posts for which preliminary exams were held last month. The bank is going to conduct the examination for the post of banking associates next. It is scheduled to be held in the month of January 2021. Eligible candidates can download the call letters from the bank's website by visiting the 'Careers' link.

Notification issued by J&K High Court to cancel the selection process for various job posts

A notice has been issued to the government by the Jammu and Kashmir High Court which states the cancellation for the selection process for the posts of probationary officers and banking associates in the Jammu and Kashmir Bank. The Jammu and Kashmir Bank has been ordered by the bench of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey to postpone the date of availability of the link which is used for the online registration of candidates and a fresh notification was issued on 1 June for 350 probationary officers and 1500 banking associates vacancies.

The candidates had challenged the notification which was issued by the bank notifying that the selection process which was supposed to be conducted was cancelled and have also challenged the fresh notice of recruitment.

Jammu and Kashmir Bank releases notification regarding vacancy of banking associate and PO

Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Tuesday released the notification for recruitment of Banking Associate and Probationary Officers (POs). The bank has announced a total of 1850 vacancies. Of the total number of vacancies, 1500 are for the post of banking associate while 350 are for the post probationary officer. To be eligible, a person must be between 20 and 32 years of age and must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university. As per the bank, aspirants can apply for the vacancies on the bank's official website from June 20 onwards.

It must be noted here that those candidates who had already applied pursuant to notification dated 06 October 2018 will be eligible for the new recruitment process without any change in their eligibility criteria. The bank in the notification stated that candidates belonging to Ladakh will be notified separately.
