HDFC ERGO Health Suraksha Gold Plan is a unique health insurance plan offered by HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company. The insurance firm is a joint venture between India's leading housing finance institution, HDFC and Germany-based insurance firm, ERGO International AG. The latter is a part of the Munich Re Group of Germany. HDFC ERGO is the third largest general insurance provider in India in the private sector space.
The HDFC ERGO Health Suraksha Gold Plan is a part of the Health Suraksha Plan offered by HDFC ERGO and offers optimum health coverage at the most reasonable prices. The plan not only covers hospitalisation expenses in case of sickness or death but also provides coverage for pre, post-hospitalisation and maternity-related expenses. The other expenses covered by the HDFC ERGO Health Suraksha Gold Plan include domiciliary treatment, day care procedures, organ donor expenses, etc.

Policyholders have a period of 15 days after he/she receives the policy document to review the terms and conditions of the policy. He/she will have the option to cancel the policy if he/she has any objections to any clause mentioned in the terms and conditions. On cancellation, the premium amount will be refunded to the policyholder's account after adjusting the amount spent on health checkup, stamp duty charges, and risk-adjusted premium.
