Eligibility

1. Residents of India.
2. Policy can cover a maximum of 4 family members - the policyholder, spouse and 2 dependent children (over 90 days old and under 23 years of age).
3. Children who are between 90 days and 5 years old can be covered if at least one parent is covered under this policy.

Policy period and renewal

1. Annual policy.
2. Lifetime renewability.
3. 30-day grace period for renewals.
4. 5% discount on renewal for every claim-free year up to a maximum of 25%.

10. Critical Illnesses:Insured person is entitled to receive double the sum insured if diagnosed with any of the below 20 critical illnesses and meets necessary diagnostic criteria and conditions

    2. Heart Valve Surgery,Aorta Surgery,Stroke,Kidney Failure

Exclusions

1. Diseases like HIV / AIDS and other related STDs.
2. Cost of spectacles, contact lenses, hearing aids, etc.
3. Pre-existing diseases before 4 renewals.
4. Pregnancy and childbirth related complications.
5. Diseases that commence within 30 days of the policy's commencement.
6. Certain named chronic diseases available in the policy document.
7. Treatment from those not registered as medical practitioners.
8. Alcohol and drug abuse related medical emergencies.
9. Hospitalization expenses incurred outside India.
10. Suicide or self-inflicted injury or illness.
11. Mental disorders, anxiety, stress or depression as a result of abuse of drugs and alcohol.

Tax benefit

Premium paid for this plan is eligible for deductions under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, up to Rs.25,000.
