Apollo Munich Health Plan offers a unique policy benefit called the restore benefit, wherein if an insured member has exhausted the sum insured in a policy year, the insurer will restore the basic sum insured at the time of renewal in order to ensure all the members are covered until the end of the policy term. Sum insured will be restored only once per year, in most cases.
The basic sum insured will automatically be restored by the insured once it is exhausted. The policyholder will receive an endorsement of the same.
In a policy year, the restore benefit can be triggered only once. Restore benefit can be triggered once a year till the end of the policy term.
Submit the original medical bills along with the prescriptions once at the end of the year to the insurer for reimbursement claims for OPD expenses.
If you opt to cover your family members under an individual policy, all members of the family will be provided a separate sum insured amount. On the other hand, if you choose to purchase a plan on a family floater basis, all family members will be provided a single sum insured, which can be used to varying extents by each family member.
If supported by a medical prescription, vaccination will be covered under OPD benefit. In the case of routine vaccination for children, the vaccination chart has to be submitted.
In the case of a claim, the sum insured will be reduced by 50% but not below the basic sum insured.
For a 4-year policy term, if the policyholder hasn't made any claims in all 4 years, then under the multiplier benefit, the sum insured will increase by 50% in the second year, and 100% in the 3rd and 4th years.
