The below-listed are the steps to register for a new voter ID online:
Step 1: You need to visit https://voters.eci.gov.in/
Step 2: Next, click on ‘Sign-up’ on portal using the option present on the top-right corner of the page.
Step 3: Fill in the required details like your mobile number and email ID.
Step 4: Enter the ‘Captcha Code’ and click on ‘Continue’.
Step 5: Type in your personal details like ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’, etc.
Step 6: Click on the ‘Request OTP’ button.
Step 7: Fill in the OTP received on your registered mobile number and press the ‘Verify’ tab.
Step 8: Next, log in on the voter’s service portal and enter your mobile number, password and captcha code.
Step 9: Click on the ‘Request OTP’
Step 10: Fill in the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click on the ‘Verify and Login’ tab.
Step 11: Next, you need to click on the ‘Fill Form 6’ option under the ‘New Click the ‘Fill Form 6’ button under the ‘New registration for general electors’ tab.
Step 12: Type in the details required on Form 6.
Step 13: Double-check if the details entered are accurate and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 1: To apply for a new voter ID offline, you need to visit the nearest electoral office and get Form 6. You can also download it from the National Voters Service Portal.
Step 2: You need to accurately fill in Form 6 and submit it at the nearest electoral office along with the required proofs.
Step 3: Once you have completed the submission procedure, all your details will be verified. Once the verification is complete and all your details are found to be true, you will receive a voter ID at your registered address
Follow the steps given below to track the status of your voter ID application:
Step 1: You need to visit the National Voter’s Service Portal by clicking on the link https://voters.eci.gov.in/
Step 2: Log in to the portal by entering your mobile number, password, captcha code and OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Step 3: Enter the captcha code, and you can track the progress of your application.

Step 1: You need to visit the https://voters.eci.gov.in/
Step 2: Next, you need to login on the portal by clicking on login button
Step 3: Click on the ‘E-EPIC Download’ tab present on the page.
Step 4: You need to choose between the EPIC number and the form reference number.
Step 5: You need to enter all the required details and choose the ‘State’.
Step 6: Click on the ‘Search’ button.
Step 7: All the voter ID details will be displayed on the screen. Click on ‘Send OTP’.
Step 8: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click on ‘Verify’.
Step 9: Download the Voter ID once the OTP is verified.
Follow the steps given below to apply online for a correction in voter ID in case of address change:
Step 1: Click on the link to login on the https://voters.eci.gov.in/
Step 2: Search and click on ‘Shifting of Residence/Correction of Entries in Existing Electoral Roll’ present on the main page.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Form 8’ button, and you will be redirected to a new page.
Step 4: Enter all the required details accurately.
Step 5: Choose the option ‘Self’ and then ‘Submit’.
Step 6: Choose the option ‘Shifting of Residence’, and next, choose the option between ‘Within Assembly Constituency’ or ‘Outside Assembly Constituency’.
Step 7: Click on ‘Ok’.
Step 8: Select the ‘State, District and Assembly/Parliamentary Constituency’ to which you belong and click on ‘Next’.
Step 9: Enter your Aadhaar number and other required details.
Step 10: Click on ‘Next’
Step 11: Enter your new address along with the supporting documents and click on ‘Next’
Step 12: Enter all the required details in the declaration form and enter the ‘Captcha code’
Step 13: Click on ‘Submit’
Step 14: Once all the processes are successfully completed and details are verified, necessary changes will be made to your voter ID.
